Description
Goje is a West African Instrument – a small one-string fiddle mainly found in the Madingue tribe in Mali, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, and Guinea. It is also called njarka, and nyanyeru.
It is played as a solo or ensemble instrument to accompany single. Used during ceremonies such as weddings, baptisms, and other major milestones accomplished by an individual or a family.
