Description
This unique and exquisite artwork portrays the Royal Prince of Benin in all his beauty. This painting was inspired by the story of Arhuanran. He was born as Prince Idubor to Oba Ozolua and Oloi Ohonmi.
It takes us back to the traditional story of the Benin town and the story of its growth and development. According to Benin folklore, Arhuanran would have become the Oba of Benin, had his birthright not been taken away from him and given to his younger brother, Osawe who later became known as Oba Esigie.
Arhuanran grew to become a powerful giant who fought and conquered several battles and gained the fear of many as he was known to be so strong that he could uproot an entire palm tree from its roots using just his bare hands.
Will be fit as a gift to your friend curious about Africa history and heritage.
